FLUX

The FLUX baby walker is our posterior walker (positioned behind the body) and helps children as young as toddlers to stand upright and supports their first attempts at walking. Unlike an anterior walker or rollator (positioned in front of the body), this system specifically promotes an upright posture, as the arms are supported downward parallel to the body. The shoulder girdle is thus pulled backward and downward, while the sternum rises. The path forward is clear for walking, offering maximum freedom of movement and the best possible access to the surroundings. Standing and walking are complex processes that place high demands on a child’s abilities. However, the therapeutic goal should always be to achieve maximum independence and thereby promote or maintain important physical abilities. Walking supports cognitive and physical development. It allows for the experience of three-dimensional perception of space and the environment, while the upright posture gently loads the entire body in a vertical position, thereby activating even inactive muscles. The vestibular system must help coordinate movement sequences, which in the long term leads to regulation of muscle tone through reflex overlay.

The physical exertion also strengthens the cardiovascular system and improves metabolism. By activating the muscles and the resulting training effect, posture is also sustainably improved, which, for example, helps counteract scoliosis or pressure ulcers.

FLUX offers the child support tailored to their individual abilities. Four different frame sizes allow for use starting with the first developmental steps all the way through to older age. Variable positioning of the handles, as well as trunk-stabilizing accessories and custom design solutions, can also be implemented.
